Blunt Force Truth: You are a program that’s being programmed. Everything you take in from your surroundings, the information you allow in from friends, family, and the media, and your perceptions of them are what’s programming you. Your subconscious is the computer code that runs the programs while your conscious mind may think it’s in control. Really you’re just observing thoughts, actions, and emotions. Watching them go by and getting the lessons. In doing so you’re programming yourself. Now you’re invited to become even more mindful of your practice. If you react, you program yourself with more of what you’re pushing away from–attracting the unwanted. When you respond, you allow more possibilities and reprogram yourself, like updating your apps–and attracting more of the good stuff. Do that.
