Maybe the reason some people refuse to “believe” evolution is that knowing how we came to be also shows us that we’re all related. Just about every human shares common ancestors. Kinda makes our disputes seem small. Every nationality, every skin color, facial or body structure, sex, and identity are all connected by the same lineage. But others may hold onto their beliefs because they gain something. There’s always a higher intent, like gaining security and safety, or justifying actions towards another. And you can reach whatever the highest intent is with new empowering ways of seeing ourselves and our path. Like using language to bridge barriers by speaking into someone’s understanding. After all, we didn’t just evolve from apes. We evolved from stars. We are connected to all that is. And it’s good to know that, isn’t it?
