I choose to see the world for what it is. Because that presents challenges for me. Challenges that question my ideology. If the world is inhospitable, if there is poverty and war, and if my own country drives worldwide corruption, death, and destruction, than I must act. And in doing so, finding peace within is an act of rebellion. Being a living peaceful presence is an act of defiance. It’s not being passive at all. It’s an act that works to end a specific karma. Doing nothing would keep that karma going. But acting with love shows the world who we are behind the facade. All the war profiteering and poisoning for profit, all of the death and destruction are but a mask our world wears until we know ourselves. Being in love with yourself aligns you with the love of the whole world! Do that.
