Twist of Fate

Trust your intuition and let life pull you in the direction of your dreams. You don’t have to keep pushing–when you have momentum the universe takes you places. And you’re always moving forward through space. You already have momentum. Are you giving it attention?

It might not be exactly what you think.

There could be many plot twists on your journey…

Almost my entire life I’ve dreamed of becoming a professional musician. I sidetracked it when I was in my 20s starting my own business. When the partnership felt like a bad marriage, I left. I moved to California to find work in the environmental field. I basically started over. And the dream was still there. It always has been…

All the while during a complete overhaul of my career, I found myself preoccupied with looking for love. In the past, I hadn’t given myself the time outside of work. That was changing, and I learned the all-important lesson of setting up healthy boundaries. For me, it was still very challenging to find a kindred spirit who loved me. She had to like drums and motorcycles. And me.

When I found my twin flame, we started all new journeys together. I was in grad school and working full time when we met. I was also studying and taking exams for my Professional Geologist registration. I was Mr. Science! She was Ms. Intuition.

Together, we discovered new versions of ourselves. My curiosity and her intuition went hand-in-hand as we learned about meditation and then started communication with our angel and spirit guides. Not long after I finished school, I started writing the next project. My guides were pushing me to write a book. My wife was working to become certified in life coaching. We had a good thing going, encouraging each other.

I was afraid of writing the book though.

I would have to spend countless hours researching and writing when I could be cuddling with her. And I wanted to spend time being involved with music.

I listened to my gut.

My spirit was telling me that this path of writing and spreading universal knowledge would get me more involved with music. I didn’t understand how. I just went with it.

A few years later, I released the book amidst a breakup that shattered my hopes of being loved (at that time). I was the most heartbroken I’ve ever been, and I had no idea what to do about it, so I did the only thing I knew how at the time. I worked. I started promoting my new book. I invested in my platform, not even sure of what I would be doing with it.

I kept trusting my gut.

This led me to Miami for the 2014 international book fair and my first book signing shortly after releasing Grand Slam Theory of the Omniverse. And I had already been developing my online presence with social media and my blog. Things were looking up.

Strangely, I had a roommate situation that reflected back some issues I had when I was married. I got curious. Surely there was something for me to work on within myself to see why people reacted to me. I went to a friend for spirit guidance.

Right after that, I found a talk about communication. From my relationships and my work, I knew I needed improvement with communication. And more professional development for speaking about the Omniverse.

I found so much more. Spirit had been pushing me in this direction the whole time. The relationships were messages.

So I trusted my gut.

And for the first time in my life, I invested in myself.

I signed up for the “communication” course. And I got so much more than what I expected! This wasn’t about professional development as much as it was about personal development for me.

Now I have the tools to crush limiting beliefs!

And ideas for my own workshops designed to break people free of their limiting beliefs to achieve what it is they desire with relationships, family, business, and any area of life!

Most importantly, I started saying ‘yes’ to life!

I stepped into the most authentic version of myself and have continued this path of evolving ever since. Simply by trusting my gut. Saying yes got me crewing the retreats that I took as a student.

My reward is seeing the change in every single person I come across on this path.

And for me, I’ve worked through my pain even though it’s still present. I’m still healing. I found that helping others is helping me. In the process, I’ve volunteered with organizations, receiving so much love and encouragement on this path.

And through all of this I was being pulled in the direction of becoming a local meditation teacher. Now I use my tools and wisdom to help others through my own free workshops. And this is a huge opportunity to take my learnings to a larger online audience too!

My favorite twist of fate that happened through all of this is my answer to my intuition. Thank you. Thanks for the guidance and the courage.

During the time I promoted the book, a friend noticed and had me on his radio show. He’s also a drummer and a rider. He invited me to be the co-host for the radio show and I said yes.

This opened up a new universe of possibilities as I’ve been introduced to so many talented musicians in our ever-growing network. It’s happening.

My intuition was right all along!

Writing my book got me on the path that led to where I am right now.

And where specifically is that?

It is a magical place called I AM AVAILABLE. I am available to help others. I am available to love. And I am available to be loved.

I can take you to this place too.

Thank you. It is done. It is done. It is done.

=D

p.s. The purpose of this was to talk about the relationship between the central nervous system and the gut brain, an extensive network of neurons and microbiota that cooperate to keep your body and brain healthy. Take care of yourself for a happy gut and happy brain. I trusted my gut and wrote about my life in this article instead of the technical mumbo jumbo.

There is a science behind the words “trust your gut.” It works!
